Song for the weekend: Dawn - Liz on top of the world (Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack)

 

            Como dica para o final de semana, a "song for the weekend" de hoje traz também uma dica de filme e livro.

            O romance "Orgulho e Preconceito" da escritora britânica Jane Austen, publicado em 1813, continua até hoje no topo da lista dos preferidos pelos leitores e aclamados pela crítica. Em 2005, ganhou uma adaptação para o cinema sob direção de Joe Wright, tendo Keira Knightley no papel da protagonista Elizabeth Bennett. O filme, também muito aclamado, recebeu 4 indicações ao oscar, incluindo Melhor Atriz (Keira Knightley), direção de arte, figurino e trilha sonora (sem falar na fotografia de tirar o fôlego). A belíssima trilha sonora composta por Dario Marianelli e executada por  Jean-Yves Thibaudet, para mim,  é o melhor trabalho de Marianelli - dentre as também excelentes trilhas de "O Solista" e Desejo e Reparação".

            The novel "Pride and Prejudice" by the British writer Jane Austen, published in 1813, continues until today at the top of the list of preferred books by readers and acclaimed by critics. In 2005, it had a film adaptation directed by Joe Wright, with Keira Knightley taking the leading role of Elizabeth Bennett. The film, also highly acclaimed, received four Oscar nominations, including Best Actress (Keira Knightley), art direction, costume design and soundtrack (not to mention the breathtaking photography). The beautiful soundtrack composed by Dario Marianelli and performed by Jean-Yves Thibaudet, to me, is Marianelli's best job - among the also excellent soundtracks for "The Soloist" and Atonement ".

            Il romanzo "Orgoglio e Pregiudizio", della scrittrice britannica Jane Austen, pubblicato nel 1813, continua ancora oggi in cima alla lista delle preferite dai lettori e acclamato dalla critica. Nel 2005, ha vinto un adattamento cinematografico diretto da Joe Wright, Keira Knightley assumendo il ruolo dell'eroina Elizabeth Bennett. Il film, anche molto applaudito, ha ricevuto quattro nomination agli Oscar, tra cui Miglior attrice protagonista (Keira Knightley), art direction, i costumi e la colonna sonora (per non parlare della fotografia mozzafiato). La colonna sonora bellissima composta da Dario Marianelli e interpretata da Jean-Yves Thibaudet, per me, è il miglior lavoro di Marianelli - tra gli ottimi  "The Soloist" e Espiazione ".
